Literacy Reflection Wk9 2017

This is my gymnastics post that i have worked on i love gymnastics and dance so i will never quite it i did it when i was younger and then i quite and then i went back this year and my coach is keeley and anisel and they are the best coach in the world they teach me stuff and i am in rec and my group is iron and the people in my group is Aniya ruby Royal and Maya was but she moved up to bronze i don't compete i just do gymnastics for rec.😊😊

WALT: Create a poster to persuade others to read a book

This week we had to make a google drawing about a book. We had to make a poster that would make people want to read books from our school library. I think this book is funny and it has a lot of drama in it. You should read it!

KVL Chart
WALT: Use what we already know to make sense of what we read.

This week we had to read a book about Kereru (Wood Pigeon) Before we read about the book we had to write what we already know about this topic and what Vocabulary  related to the topic we thought we might find when we read the book. After we read the book we added any new vocab and what we learnt from the text. Then we read a book about Monarch butterflies.


This week we had to read a book about Monarch Butterflies when we read the book we had to write what we already know about this topic and what the Vocabulary relates to the topic and what we learnt about the topic.
I think doing the KVL chart helped me get the information from the book because it made me think about what I was reading.

Literacy Reflection T1 Wk10

This week for word work and work on writing I had to pick a spelling task. I picked against the clock. It means you have to pick one of your spelling words and then you have 5 minutes. You have to write a word as many times as you can and my spelling word was eye. 

This week we did a thank you letter to someone on camp. I did it to Mitchell's Gully because they let us in the gold mine and they let us hold the gold. Mitchell's Gully was the best.

Spine Poetry 
This week some kids went to the Grey District Swimming Sports and some didn't.  I stayed at school and did a spine poem with Mrs Costello. A spine poem is something when you pick 4 books and then you have to make them into a poem so you put them together and it makes a poem. I worked with Madisyn and our poem turned out to be pretty good and This is what our poem looks like.

This week we also had to make a slide or a drawing and I made a slide. We had to write our spelling words and you had to pick a word, I picked ourselves, so I had to write about that word and what it means. Here is my slide.

Term 1 Week 4 Electronics

Electronics 
This week we had to do Electronics with Andrew. We put a LED light that lights up if it is the right way into a circuit board. On the circuit board there is a lot of dots on one side then on the other side there is a + sign. The longest side of the light has to be on the side where the + sign is. Here are some photos of Mamaku 1 doing Electronics.

Last year when we had to do Electronics some people got to make robots. This year people in our class we have people from syndicate 2. This is a new thing for them this week and it is pretty cool for them because they get to know new things about Electronics.

Reflection Term 1 Week 2 2017

This week we did a Tally chart with animals games sports and other things. I worked with Madisyn and we did what is Mamaku favorite animals. We had to go around the class room and ask people what was there favorite animals are. Me and Madisyn put down Other Dog Cat Tiger Panda And Unicorn. Then we had to cunt them up and Unicorn got 20 and then dog got 14 then tiger got 6 and cat got 5. other means other animals that we didn't put down so other got 3 then panda got 2 and then monkey got the lest out of all of them 1. We counted them all up and i made 51.

This week i did a bar graph and unicorn got the most out of all of them we had to do the highest to the lowest and unicorn got the most then dog got the second higest then cat got the third higest then monkey and other tide with 3 then panda got the lowest of them all 2 then they all add up to 51.

New York Description T4 Wk 10

This week we had to write a free Monday writing and I wrote about New York. It is about how the fireworks light up the night and the dogs and cats were barking and meowing.  The best part about it is that we get to watch the fireworks.

12 Days of Christmas 
WALT: 
This Week we had to do Christmas tasks and this one is called 12 days of Christmas and we had to make a song and we had to do a kiwi carol and I did it about birds that are from New Zealand and we had to make it in a Christmas shape.

WALT:
This is one of my other tasks we did and it is about that we had to pick a dessert for Christmas to share around and you can make it and bring it into your class room and share it around to your Class mates and I did to different kind of baking my first one is Gingerbread mans then my second one is Christmas Trees.

















Naughty Or Nice.
WALT:
This is one of my other tasks that we had to do and we had to make to text boxes and we had to put Naughty Or nice and you had to pick what one you were on and I picked nice and we had to write three different resins why we should be on the nice.
